Tax Executive Assistant

DMCL Chartered Professional Accountants is looking for an Executive Assistant for our downtown Vancouver office. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational and communication skills with a keen eye for details and a can-do attitude! As an Executive Assistant, you will support DMCL’s tax partners and play a pivotal role as the primary point of contact for our tax clients and for our tax group’s administrative and support requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative and technical support to the tax partners and tax team
  • Assist with client management and communication
  • Management of partners time entry into our billing system and preparation and processing of invoices
  • Tax return and other tax filings for our diverse client base
  • Managing workflow and job processing including preparation of year-end financial and tax packages
  • Schedule, manage and communicate meetings and appointments with clients and staff as required
  • Meet and greet our clients in an efficient, professional and friendly manner,
  • Coordinate, collaborate and organize special tax marketing educational and other events and projects with tax team members as required
  • Assist tax team members to prepare documents, filings and presentations, scanning, organize documents and other administrative duties when necessary

Qualifications, Skills & Personal Attributes

  • Minimum of two years administrative experience, preferably in a professional services or public practice firm and/or completion of an office administrative certificate or equivalent.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong technology skills;
  • Experienced with diverse programs and systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Good typing skills;
  • Detail oriented individual with superior organizational skills;
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and keep track of deadlines;
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual who demonstrates initiative and maturity under pressure;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong focus on client service and a high degree of professionalism;
  • Ability to develop a positive rapport and convey concepts and services with clients and staff;
  • Ability to work in a confidential environment and handle sensitive information with complete discretion;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • Ability to be flexible and available for overtime as needed;
