Co-op Student (4 month term)

DMCL Chartered Professional Accountants welcomes candidates that are interested in a co-op position starting January 2019 for our Vancouver office. On the job training will be provided. Our Firm: DMCL Chartered Professional Accountants is a member of Moore Stephens International and is a leading mid-sized accounting firm with exceptional professionals and a diverse client base. DMCL’s team of over 180 staff and 20 partners serves local businesses with global interests and growth objectives with three offices in the Lower Mainland. We are entrepreneurs at heart and are recognized for our expertise in audit and assurance, accounting, taxation and business and financial consulting for public and private companies, not for profits and owner managed businesses.

Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include the following:

  • Work individually on the preparation of working paper files, tax returns and various other accounting assignments;
  • Communicate directly with clients and third parties to obtain necessary information for task completion;
  • Compilation of personal and corporate tax returns.

  • Strong MS Office computer skills with the ability to grasp new technological tools;
  • Exposure to Caseware, TaxPrep, Simply Accounting and/or QuickBooks software an asset.

The candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment under significant time constraints.
